Web Queue
The Web Queue lets players do most of what they'd do in Discord from a browser tab: join and leave queues, ready up, vote during match setup, report the winner, and see their results afterwards. It updates live, so there's no need to refresh.
Getting there
- Go to neatqueue.com and sign in with Discord.
- Open your server at
https://neatqueue.com/servers/<your server ID>.
Every queue in the server is shown as a card with its current players, how full it is, and a Join Queue / Leave Queue button.
Your server's queue messages also get a Web Queue button that opens this page directly. It's on by default. Admins can show or hide it with /queuemessage webqueuebutton.
Joining and ready-up
- Join Queue puts you in the queue just like the Discord button. While you wait, a bar under the top menu shows which queue you're searching in and how long you've been there. It follows you to every page of the site.
- When the queue fills, a Match found screen appears on whatever page you're on, with a countdown and a Ready Up button. Decline removes you from the match.
- If the queue uses voice ready-up, the screen instead asks you to join the lobby voice channel.
- After the match starts, the bar changes to In match and links to the match page.
Notifications
The first time you join a queue, the site offers to send browser notifications. If you accept, you're notified when:
- a match is found, so you can ready up;
- the match starts;
- a vote opens, or it's your turn to draft as captain;
- someone reports a result and you need to confirm it;
- the match is over.
Notifications only show while the tab is in the background. Even if you decline them, the tab title flashes to get your attention. If you installed the site as an app (use your browser's "Install" or "Add to Home Screen" option), notifications work the same way from the app window.
The match page
Once a match is created, it has its own page at https://neatqueue.com/servers/<server ID>/match/<game number>. Anyone signed in can watch it live. Participants can also:
- Vote during setup. Team selection, map, gamemode, and similar votes appear as live panels with countdowns and running tallies. If the queue uses captains, the captain draft is shown too, and the captain whose turn it is picks directly from the page.
- See the decided details. Once decided, the page lists the match's picks and bans, maps, gamemodes, and best-of series length.
- See lobby details. If the queue has lobby details configured, participants see them on the page once the match is in game.
- Vote on the winner. During the game, each team (and Tie, if ties are enabled) has a vote button with the number of votes needed. If the queue is set so only staff report results, players can't vote and the page says so.
- Cancel or sub out. The Match controls box lets a participant start a cancel vote, or request a substitute. To request a sub, pick someone waiting in the queue or enter a Discord user ID. The other player has to accept before they take your slot.
After the match
When a match is scored, participants are shown a summary: whether you won or lost, your MMR change, updated stats such as win rate and streak, and your rank progress if the queue has ranks. Cancelled matches say that no stats or MMR changed. A Queue Again button takes you back to the queue board.
Parties and predictions
If a queue has party queueing turned on, a party panel appears beside the queues so you can create, join, and manage parties from the browser. See Parties.
If predictions are enabled on your server, open predictions and your recent bets show above the queues, and you can place bets there. See Points and Shop.
