Correcting Results & Editing Stats
Mistakes happen: the wrong team gets picked as the winner, a substitute plays but the original player gets the result, or a stat needs a manual fix. This page covers how to correct them.
Fixing a match result
Admins can change a past match with these commands:
/outcome selectwinner: set which team won./outcome tie: mark the match as a tie./outcome cancel: cancel the match.
By default only that match changes. Later matches were calculated from the old result, so players' MMR, wins, losses, streaks, and peaks can end up out of step.
Recalculate later matches
Set recalculate_subsequent to Enabled and NeatQueue replays every later match on the same queue's stats, so everything stays consistent.
On Discord you first get a preview: how many matches and players are affected and the biggest MMR and win/loss changes. Nothing is saved until you press Confirm. If you press Cancel, or don't answer within 2 minutes, nothing changes.
A single correction can replay at most 1000 later matches. If more would be affected, the command refuses and changes nothing.
Swapping in a substitute
If a substitute played but the result went to the original player, use /outcome replaceplayer:
match_number: the match to fix.old_player: the player the result is currently recorded for.new_player: the player who actually played.
The win or loss, MMR change, and match history entry move from the old player to the new one, who keeps the same team. Later matches are then recalculated automatically, and you get the same preview and Confirm step. If the new player has no stats in that queue yet, they are given starting stats first.
Editing player stats on the web
Staff can edit stats directly from the leaderboard or a player's stats page on the web dashboard. Use this for adjustments that aren't tied to a specific match.
- Single player: press Edit stats, then either set a stat to a value or adjust it by an amount. Editable stats are MMR, Peak MMR, Wins, Losses, Games, Ties, Streak, Peak Streak, Points, and MVPs.
- Several players: on the leaderboard, switch on manage mode and select players. Choose an action (set, add, subtract, multiply, or reset) and a stat, then press Preview.
- CSV import: download the leaderboard CSV, edit it in a spreadsheet, and use Import CSV. You see a preview before anything is saved. Rows for players whose stats changed since you downloaded the file are skipped, so you can't overwrite newer results by accident.
Games is wins + losses + ties, so if you set both Games and Ties, the numbers must add up with Wins and Losses or the edit is rejected.
Only the queue's current stats can be edited. For a season queue, switch to the current season first; past seasons and the All Time view are read-only.
Stat edits change a player's totals, not a specific match. To fix a wrongly recorded result, use the commands above.
Keeping a record of changes
Manual stat edits are written to an audit record, including whether the change came from a command, the web dashboard, or a CSV import. To find out who changed a match result or ran a command, see Web Analytics & Audit Log.
Exporting match history
The History page of the dashboard has a CSV export button. It exports the matches matching your current queue and date filters, one row per player with their team, result, and MMR change. Exports are capped at the 5,000 most recent matches, so narrow the date range to export older ones.
