Scheduled Commands
Scheduled commands let NeatQueue run a command for you automatically, for example clearing a queue every night or starting a queue at a set time each week. Staff can manage them with slash commands or on the web dashboard.
Scheduling is currently in beta.
Scheduling a command
- Run
/schedule setup. - Run the command you want to schedule, in the channel you want it to run in, with the options you want. It isn't executed this time. NeatQueue saves the command, its options and the channel instead.
- Run
/schedule time add, pick the command, and set when it should run.
Started setup by mistake? Use /schedule cancelsetup.
When it runs
/schedule time add takes one of these combinations:
| You want | Options to use |
|---|---|
| Every day | time (HH:MM) |
| Certain days of the week | time and days (e.g. Monday, Friday) |
| Once on a date | time and date (YYYY-MM-DD) |
| Advanced schedule | cron (e.g. */30 * * * * for every 30 minutes) |
A cron expression can't be combined with the other options, and a date can't be combined with days.
Times use your server's /timezone unless you set timezone on the schedule. Runs follow local clock time, so they stay put across daylight saving changes.
A command can have several schedules. Use /schedule time list to see them and /schedule time remove to remove one.
Other commands
/schedule repeat: turn off repeating so each schedule is removed after it runs once./schedule delete: delete a scheduled command entirely.
Managing schedules on the web
Open the dashboard at https://neatqueue.com/servers/<your server ID>/schedules to view, edit and delete scheduled commands. You need to be staff on the server.
Things to know
- Scheduling isn't premium-only, but a scheduled command is still subject to that command's own rules. For example, a scheduled
/startqueuecan't go over your plan's queue limit. - Scheduled commands run as the staff member who set them up. If that person leaves the server, their scheduled commands are removed.
