/channel category

Admin Command

This command requires administrator permissions.

(Default: Parent) Sets whether created channels go in a separate or the parent category.

Usage​

/channel category [category_mode] (category)

Arguments​

  • category_mode: (Required) The category setting. If mode is Specified, you must provide the category.
        Options: Parent, New, Specified
  • category: (Optional) The specific category if category_mode is Specified.

Details​

Configures where newly created channels are placed by selecting whether they inherit the server's parent category, are created in a separate new category, or are assigned to a specific existing category. Commonly used to keep queue channels visible in the main category, isolate them in a dedicated area for moderation, or group them into an admin-designated category; this action requires administrator privileges and the target category (when chosen) must already exist and be accessible.
